Available to all Exoplanet and Astrophotography Program participants

Virtual Field Trips consist of:
  • A tour of the telescope and the software we use to operate it remotely 
  • Live programming of a telescope run
  • A “Tour of the Night Sky”
    • Students can request specific targets to look at
    • All participants will receive the images taken with our scope during the tour
  • The opportunity to ask questions throughout the evening about anything related to our telescope, astronomy, and more!
  • Viewing of the first few exposures of the nights run**

Virtual field trips take place on Wednesday nights around astronomical twilight (approx. 2 hours after sunset) Pacific Time via Zoom. 

Trips must be booked in advance. Check out our Events Calendar for availability!

Advanced Programs MUST book a virtual field trip for data collection.
